OUTLINE OF IDEAS
My music video will be about a girl whose parents are separated. The shots will constantly switch back and forth between a girl dancing, flashbacks of her childhood abstract shots of overlays. The dance is an outlet of stress, anger and pain through her parents separation. The abstract shots are a representation and visual metaphor of the dancer's jumbled thoughts. Finally, the flashbacks are obviously her reflecting on how times used to be when her parents were together.
RESOURCES
CAST - A dancer, mum, dad and a young girl.
LOCATION - A dance studio and a field.
PROPS - Photos from childhood, toys for overlays of memory of childhood.
JUSTIFICATION OF IDEAS IN RELATION TO GENRE AND ARTIST
It is set in a field, as the band are independent and low budget.
The dancer will have two outfits. The first outfit is relaxed, such as leggings and a loose fitting t-shirt, as she is dancing and needs comfort. The second outfit consists of a leather jacket, jeans and boots, as it reinforces the indie rock genre.
